Well, the prodigal son has returned from another semester of academic under-achievement and a slow descent into sloth and gluttony to the red cell that is my home here in Cortlandt Manor. A lot has happened since I wrote this and very little of it was creative writing. I finished the semester with a modicum of stress and it turned out decently. I went on a climbing trip to Horse Pens 40 Alabama. I have a job interview and some hope of being hired. I turned 20. I scheduled surgery on my Kidney for this Wednesday the 31st of May. I went to see Johhny Giovani and the Zombie Pit Crew play a battle of the bands at The Knitting Factory in NYC, and finally the even that overshadows in my mind all the others was the death of Spencer Sinkov, a friend in high school. I can’t really write anything to do his life justice, with his passing the world lost one of the most truly brilliant and kind people I have ever known or am ever likely to.
